The Cyprus Government encourages foreign investment by offering a Permanent Residence Permit (PRP) to non-EU nationals who buy property on the island. Unlike temporary permits, it does not need to be renewed, as long as the conditions continue to be met.

Main conditions
Non-EU citizens can qualify for permanent residency by buying new residential property worth €300,000 plus VAT or more, and by showing a secure income from abroad.

Gather proof of a secure annual income from abroad and health insurance, with the guidance of your lawyer.

Submit the application
The application is filed with the Civil Registry and Migration Department in Cyprus.

Applications are usually processed in around two months.
